5 Awesome Face Makeup Brushes I Use Every Day - Makeup and Beauty Blog
Survey says that I WILL use most, if not all, of these five face brushes every. Single. Solar day. They're my brushes with destiny! — my makeup main squeezes, and my chief workhorse tools.
1. NARS Mie Kabuki Brush ($55)
LBD, baby! Petty black dress. The NARS Mie Kabuki is the picayune black dress of my face brush collection because of all the many things information technology can practise. Sometimes I'll use it to utilize face powder, other times I'll use it as a bronzing castor, and sometimes I'll employ information technology to highlight or utilize chroma.
Unfortunately, the cost. It's $55… Buuuut, it can practise so much, and in a higher place all, it blends like a mofo! I tin can really see a difference between when I utilise Mie to blend bronzer or blush, and when I use something else, and I remember it'due south considering of that signal in the tip (see the pic below) and how the tip slopes. Information technology makes it piece of cake to buff out edges and get polish gradients. If y'all similar the sound of that, Mie is available at present at NARS counters, boutiques and online.
2. MAC 138 Tapered Face Brush ($53)
Some other pointy tip! I mostly utilize the MAC 138 to utilise face powder to specific spots, similar the center of my brow, on and around my olfactory organ and mouth, just below my cheeks and on my mentum, and while big, fluffy face brushes are fun to utilise with confront pulverisation (and feel great on my skin), I still prefer this smaller brush.
Why?
Well, because when I apply too much powder, my face makeup looks heavy and très obvious, and with the 138, I tin can really target where I'm placing my powder, which ways that I tin can mostly get abroad with using less. Information technology's available now at MAC counters, stores and online.
3. MAC 109 Modest Contour Castor ($35)
The MAC 109 face brush has a small, rounded head that fits just perfectly in the hollows of my cheeks; that makes it a bronzing/contouring champ.
I'm a big bronzer gal, so I rarely use this i for contouring, but I think it's an absolutely crawly bronzing brush.
I always have to resist the urge to go heavy with bronzer, and I'm tempted put it everywhere (NO, SERIOUSLY), merely this brush basically saves me from myself, LOL! It'southward available now at MAC counters, stores and online.
four. Real Techniques Contour Brush ($17.99; 1 of iv brushes in the Core Collection set)
Approximate what?
Yup, it'southward another pointy castor! — and yeah, I use it considering it's easy to control.
Plainly, I'm a control freak both in life and when it comes to brushes!
It's part of a four-piece brush set available from Real Techniques, and it'due south the one from the set that I use the most. What I use it for, primarily, is highlighting.
The synthetic bristles handle cream highlighters really well (they don't absorb the production, which ways that more than of the product gets on your skin). Sometimes I'll besides moisture the brush caput starting time when I use it to apply powder highlighters (ordinarily with MAC Fix+) for bolder, brighter, shinier highlights. It's available now at drugstores, Ulta and online.
5. NARS Kabuki Eye Brush (I don't think this one'south still available)
Ballad of a pitiful tabby… 🙁 This brush was technically role of a NARS souvenir set last twelvemonth, and I don't think it's even so available, but I wanted to mention it anyhow because of how much I use information technology (and just in instance you happen to see it for sale somewhere anytime).
I don't actually use information technology for its original purpose. It'south supposed to exist an eye brush, but I can't utilize it on my lids considering information technology's likewise kind of scratchy, just I have found that it's a fantabulous brush for very precise bronzing and/or contouring, and I use it for that every day, like to run bronzer along the sides of my olfactory organ to brand it expect a little slimmer and more divers in pics.
Just goes to testify ya! Brushes are masters of improv, and you can use them for things other than the things for which they're designed.
